Okay, so if you’re a fan of *Toram Online*, you’ve got to hear this. The same developers, Asobimo, just dropped a new mobile game called Torerowa, and I’ve been diving into it. It’s got a heavy *Dark and Darker* vibe, mixing roguelike dungeon crawling with high-stakes extraction. After an open beta back in August 2024, it’s now officially out globally and is free to play.
How Torerowa’s Dungeon Crawling and Looting Works
The whole game is centered around a massive dungeon called Restos. Your mission, as a classic adventurer, is pretty straightforward: get in, go as deep as you can, and grab all the awesome loot you can find. As you’d expect, the further you go, the tougher the monsters get, but the rewards become way more valuable.
But here’s the catch—the real win is just making it out alive. It’s not enough to just find treasure; you have to find an escape portal and get out before the dungeon closes in on you. From my experience, this adds a serious layer of tension to every run.
You can team up in a party of up to three, either with your buddies or by using the matchmaking system. The co-op aspect is great for taking on the monsters guarding the best loot. But what really surprised me is that there can be up to five different parties in the same dungeon instance. This completely changes the dynamic. You might spot another team and have to decide: do you sneak by quietly, or do you try to ambush them for their loot? It creates these super tense player encounters.
Once you escape, all your spoils get appraised. You can turn what you find into new equipment, crafting materials, or gold. You can also bring your favorite gear with you on your next run, which is the classic extraction formula we know and love. The game’s colorful art style and party-based gameplay give it a really fun and playful feel, even when things get intense.
