Elysia: The Astral Fall Review: A Deep Tactical RPG with a Vast Open World on Android

Hey everyone, a brand new fantasy RPG just dropped on Android, and you know I had to jump in and see what it’s all about. It’s called Elysia: The Astral Fall, and it’s from Panthera, the same team that brought us games like Soul Huntress: Offline Games. From my first look, it’s a pretty deep tactical RPG with a huge open world that’s begging to be explored.

I actually first heard about this game over at APK Games Tech — an APK file hub that shares news, reviews, and top game lists. They’re usually on top of new releases like this.

What’s the Story and World of Solaria Like?

Okay, so the game throws you into a world called Solaria, which is in the middle of a classic struggle between light and darkness. The big bad here is a creepy force known as “The Void,” and it’s threatening to swallow up everything. Pretty standard, but the execution feels cool.

You step into the boots of a young warrior tasked with leading a squad of heroes to save the day. What really caught my attention is that the game doesn’t just hold your hand on a linear path. It sets you loose across six massive regions, and each one has its own vibe, history, and unique dangers.

One minute, I was wandering through these beautiful sunlit plains checking out ancient ruins, and the next, I found myself climbing icy mountains guarded by some gnarly monsters. Every zone seems packed with secrets, whether it’s hidden treasure, forgotten lore, or new quests to tackle. It really feels like the side missions matter, too; they connect back to the main plot and reveal more about how The Void has corrupted the world.

Getting Hands-On with the Tactical Combat

Now for the gameplay loop. The combat is where the “tactical” part really shines. You’re not just watching characters auto-battle; you get to control your heroes directly. This means you can switch up your strategy in the middle of a fight and time your ultimate skills for the perfect moment. Each hero in your squad has two standard combat abilities and a powerful finishing move that feels super satisfying to pull off.

The strategy goes even deeper with all the different team compositions you can build. There are seven elemental factions to play with—Fire, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Kinetic, Light, and Void. On top of that, characters fit into specific combat roles like Fighter, Preserver, Supporter, or Striker. With a squad size of up to five heroes, mixing and matching these factions and roles lets you experiment with a ton of different strategies.

Idle Rewards and Other Cool Features

One feature I was really happy to see is the idle reward system. We all have busy lives, right? Well, in Elysia, even when you log off, your team keeps on fighting, gathering resources, and earning XP while you’re away. It’s a great way to keep up your progress without having to grind 24/7.

Of course, there are plenty of ways to power up your team through equipment upgrades and enhancing your abilities. If you’re in the market for a new tactical RPG to sink some time into, you can grab Elysia: The Astral Fall right now from the Google Play Store.
